Young Washington

This was an ok historical film about George Washington fighting during the French and Indian war. I thought this would flop but actually it's done well at the box office. Maybe there is a market for historical movies after all. I think the fact that it opened around July 4th helped.

Spiderman: No way Home

I thought this was the worst Tom Holland Spiderman movie but it was still worth a watch. In the movie people find out Peter Parker;s identity as Spiderman. He gets help from Doctor Strange but the spell they make goes wrong. The best part of the movie was when the other two spidermen Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield come to help things out. The movie ends on a sad note but at the same time you know they are ready for a sequel.

Peter Ibbetson

This was included in the 1001 you must see before you die list. It was ok but it wouldn't have made my cut. It was based on George Du Maurier's novel. It's about a man who falls in love with a married woman and kills her husband. She was his childhood love. When he's in prison things take a supernatural course. Ann Harding and Gary Cooper do a good job. 3/5

Practical Magic

Sandra Bullock and Nicole Kidman play witches who accidentally kill Nicole's boyfriend. A policeman (Aidan Quinn) comes into town to investigate which complicates things. This wasn't that good but I'm still going to see the sequel. Dianne Weist and Stockard Channing do a good job playing their aunts who help sort out the mess.
