This was a mediocre Indian movie. It had a good cast though. Preity Zinta is likable and Saif Ali Khan plays a bad boy well. Saif and Preity are both college students who have a brief romance. After he gets her pregnant, her family almost disowns her and the boy leaves. The community shuns her. Things work out in the end though. People on imdb said the treatment of unmarried pregnant girls in India isn't this bad. I believe this is an exaggerated portrayal.
SPOILER: I'm glad that the good guy who had liked her all along asked to marry her. It's nice Saif reformed but that mother-in-law would have been a nightmare.
