Oliver Twist

This is a good adaptation of the poor boy who just wanted to eat more.  The reason why I liked it was that it featured a young brunette, Diana Dors.  She's at the beginning of the movie and plays Oliver's mother.  I'm a fan of hers.  It also features Alec Gunness who is mostly known for Star Wars despite starring in some of England's best movies in the 50's.  To me though director David Lean reached his peak with Lawrence of Arabia.
