This was ok but not the best Chinese movie ever made like many claim. For example Zhang Yimou has made much better movies. It's slow. The plot revolves around a sick man and his wife. They have a loveless marriage and things get worst when the man's friend who used to be her lover comes back. There are DVDs out there of this that don't have subtitles so I suggest looking for a subtitled stream online.
